For a while now I have wanted to write about something that really matters to me …something that I think matters to most people. That’s the concept of learning. Like most parents, a lot of my time throughout the week is spent working with my own children regarding homework, school assignments, and projects, etc. Like most of you, my children’s education matters to me; and so I thought that a blog might be a great place to share some of my insights and experiences when it comes to education and learning in general.

I am a strong believer that school should be less about teaching and more about learning at all levels. Sure, good teachers make learning possible, but in my view, good teaching is really about guiding learners and not only teaching to them.

Through this blog I am interested in exploring the challenges and successes that students experience as well as the methods and tools that parents and educators can use to help improve their students’ learning experiences. This is a blog dedicated to learning and what that means at every level of our educational journeys. I hope you enjoy!
